New Client Process

We believe in being very thorough when it comes to your health, so our New Client Intake Process consists of 2 appointments – an Initial Assessment and then your Report of Findings.

The aim of the first visit - the Initial Assessment - is to figure out what is going on and your second appointment - Your Report of Findings- is where your chiropractor will explain their findings and go over their recommendations.

As a New Client, you will be asked to make two separate appointments as close together as possible. The first will be your Initial Assessment and the second will be your Report of Findings.

You can arrange these appointments by booking online or by giving us a call 01480 457909.

STEP 1 – Initial Assessment

The Initial Assessment lasts approximately an hour. Prior to your appointment, you will be sent a detailed Intake Form to fill out online. When you arrive at our centre as a New Client you will be greeted by one of our lovely front desk team members.  You will then be taken to our consultation room where your chiropractor will then go over a thorough clinical history and do a thorough examination. The examination includes a spinal and postural assessment, neurologic and orthopaedic tests and x-rays (if necessary).

X-rays

At New Heights Wellness we don’t want to guess when it comes to our client’s health. We have state of the art x-ray facilities which allow us to take detailed pictures of your spine and joints (when indicated) to determine the alignment and health of your spine, the cause of your problem and therefore the treatment options available to you. All of our x-rays are weight bearing to give the most accurate results with regards to the shape of your spine.

We provide you with detailed report when you return for your Report of Findings which can be available to you in as little as 24 hours. This allows us to give you the best care as soon as possible without having to wait for images to be taken under the NHS or through expensive private referrals.

Postural Imaging

We'll also take specific pictures of your posture using a digital application which allows us to accurately measure it. These pictures are taken on your initial consultation and on your progress reviews so that your progress can be tracked throughout your care.

STEP 2 – Report of Findings

Following your Initial Assessment you will be invited to return to the Centre for your individual Report of Findings. Your chiropractor will have gone over the results and their findings of all the tests they performed on you on your Initial Consultation and set out an individual care plan for you. They will answer the following questions:

  • What is the problem?

  • Can chiropractic help you?

  • How long will it take to heal?

  • How much will chiropractic care cost?

  • What will be involved in chiropractic care?

Based on their findings and recommendations, and your individual needs, together we will come up with the plan that best suits you. You will be given a detailed report of your postural and x-ray findings. We offer our clients different types of care according to their individual needs. If we do not think we can help you we will refer you to the appropriate practitioner.

If you decided you would like to start your care on the Report of Findings visit, then your chiropractor may offer you your first Spinal Adjustment.
