Babies, Children & Chiropractic Care

We LOVE seeing Babies and Children, however most people relate chiropractic care to adults with back pain. So WHY do we love caring for children?

While a child’s spine and body is incredibly flexible, just like adults, their spine undergoes many stresses which can affect the normal function and communication within the body. These stresses may start from the birth. Although it is a normal process, it can be traumatic and stressful to the newborns’ spine and create stress on their nervous system.  Sometimes this presents itself as symptoms, however, this isn’t always the case and therefore the effects can go undetected for sometime. This is why we recommend getting all newborns checked as soon after birth as possible.

As children develop learn to sit up, crawl and walk they will experience unavoidable jolts, trips and falls, causing more stress to the body. Adding in the modern stress of heavy school bags, the use of games consoles, phones, tablets are contributing more than ever before to poor posture, back pain in children along with other health challenges.

After a thorough assessment of your child’s spine, and a Report of our Findings, we are trained to perform very specialised and gentle spinal, cranial and visceral adjustments (which are different to those done on adults), removing stress from a child’s spine and body to allow them to heal naturally and develop to their full potential.  We strive to make this a fun and enjoyable experience for your child so that they can receive the care that they need. We will explain the treatment process and plan before any adjustments are performed.

We have a dedicated family area in our clinic to take the stress out of appointments.

Chiropractic can help your child function, develop and be at their best!
