Chiropractic primarily focuses on the health of the spine and the nervous system. Your brain and nervous system are the body’s master control system which is responsible for your body functioning the way it is suppose to. Your spine is like body armour which protects the nervous system and therefore needs to be working at its best. We recognise and want to facilitate your body’s own ability to heal.

Chiropractic care is the use of hands on care to assess the functioning of your nervous system and the spine’s alignment and movement. We aim to achieve more normalised movement of the spine as a whole and each vertebrae individually in order to achieve a healthier spine and nervous system. Ensuring that the spine is moving correctly can prevent premature degeneration of spinal  joints and other joints (such as ankles, knees, hips, shoulders).

Health is defined by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a "State of complete physical, mental, and social well being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity".  Chiropractors look at the person as a whole, and do not merely focus on where your symptoms may be coming from but what lifestyle factors might be causing the accumulation of stress for your body to then exhibit those symptoms (ie. they want to get to the root cause of your problem!) and what can be done to get your body functioning and adapting at its very best.

Chiropractic care is suitable for people of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. Our main focus is the re-alignment of the spine and correction of the normal curves in the cervical (neck), thoracic, lumbar (lower-back) region of the spine to relieve symptoms and restore normal body function.
